Moloco extends its commitment to growth in the APAC region with two new hires: Jay Trinidad and JaeKyun Ahn

Moloco is excited to announce two strategic additions to our leadership team in the APAC region. Jay Trinidad joins as the General Manager for Asia Pacific and Head of Strategy, and JaeKyun Ahn assumes the role of Country Manager for Korea. With their unparalleled expertise and experience from prior positions at Google, Naver, and Disney, they will drive significant growth and expansion in the APAC region.


With their combined leadership, Moloco is poised to make significant strides in the APAC region. Their wealth of expertise and collective perspectives will be instrumental in advancing our mission to empower companies worldwide to grow through operational machine learning.

 


Jay Trinidad: General Manager, Asia Pacific and Head of Strategy 

Jay’s appointment marks a significant milestone for the company as he will play a pivotal role in steering the company's P&L across key markets, including China, Korea, Japan and Southeast Asia. In this position, based in Seoul, his primary goals will be to build a world-class team and foster a culture aligned with the Asian market's precise needs. He will focus on scaling revenue, creating real value for our customers, and making advanced machine learning more accessible to businesses in the region. In addition, in his new role, Jay will spearhead efforts to develop and execute global strategies that advance key company-wide initiatives.

 

Jay is customer-centric and has always lived at the forefront of the latest technologies, and he loves nothing more than to bring those new technologies to bear in solving a customer’s biggest problems. With over two decades of experience building world-class businesses through technology, Jay brings a wealth of leadership knowledge to his new role in the field of Machine Learning. He has held prominent positions at some of the world's most innovative companies, including Google, Square, Warner Brothers Discovery, and the Walt Disney Company. His commitment to customer-first development of new technologies is evident in his contributions to popular products like Disney+, Gmail, YouTube, Chrome, Android, and Square Register. 

 


JaeKyun Ahn: Country Manager, Korea 

Complementing Jay's leadership, JaeKyun Ahn has been appointed as the Country Manager for Korea. In his new role, based in Seoul, JaeKyun is charged with driving the growth of Moloco's core DSP business in Korea. His short-term priorities also include strengthening client relationships, forging strategic partnerships, and innovating products to meet market demands.


He is truly a “player-coach” who makes hands-on and bold efforts to solve complex challenges, develop and support teams, while demonstrating empathy in building a culture that is psychologically safe. JaeKyun's impressive track record shows his capabilities as a leader and problem solver. He brings extensive experience in product development, growth acceleration, business transformation, corporate development, go-to-market strategy, and organization management. Before joining Moloco, JaeKyun navigated various roles, including product positions at Toss and Naver, sales at Google, and strategy work at the Boston Consulting Group.  

 

In the APAC region, our top customers include Bucketplace, Burger King, GS Shop, Netmarble, Yanolja, Yogiyo, and Zupee.
