Wildlife Studios has grown from a Brazilian startup founded in 2011 to a top 10 global mobile gaming company with over 60 games engaging billions of players worldwide. Their challenge: grow ad monetization even for titles with significant in-app purchase (IAP) strategies while retaining their enormous user base.
Challenge: Balancing monetization strategies and retention in games
Wildlife's hit titles feature the classic ads, IAP, and subscription monetization strategies in games. Their challenge: How could they layer in extra ad revenue without driving users away? Push too hard and players leave. Under-monetize and you leave money on the table.

Wildlife approached ad monetization like they approach game development: test constantly and partner with networks that could keep pace.
When evaluating networks, Wildlife looked beyond revenue. Player experience was a meaningful part of the equation. The Moloco SDK was appealing because it offered direct advertiser demand - with no exchange fees.
Wildlife began testing the SDK with multiple titles while keeping track of different ad placements, formats, and frequencies to understand impact on revenue and retention. The team continuously monitored the impact on different player segments and adjusted strategies based on performance. The goal was sustainable monetization, not short-term spikes.
Results: 13% boost in ad ARPDAU
Based on December 2025 data, Wildlife told us that their ad ARPDAU grew an average of 13% in major titles, all while keeping users happy and on their apps. In addition, between September 2025 and March 2026, Wildlife said Moloco grew from 2% to an average of 8.5% share of wallet in their games and became one of their top ad partners for high-eCPM segments.
