Ikkjin Ahn

Ikkjin Ahn co-founded Moloco in 2013 and has served continuously as the company's CEO. Under his leadership, Moloco has become a leader in AI performance advertising. With a vision to be "the scaling engine for the Internet economy," Moloco serves thousands of customers around the world including Tubi, Wayfair, Chime, Pinterest, Scopely, King, Snapchat, Musinsa, and Olive Young. The company has been profitable for 5 years, with more than 700 employees across 12 global offices.

Before co-founding Moloco in 2013, Ikkjin worked at Google, where he developed YouTube’s video profitability prediction system and served as the founding Tech Lead Manager for the Android Data team. His work on developing YouTube’s early monetization systems revealed a multi-billion-dollar opportunity to bring the power of AI and machine learning to performance advertising for the mobile app ecosystem. That insight led to the founding of Moloco with a small team of machine learning engineers.

He leads with empathy and curiosity, believing that innovation thrives when teams feel empowered to take risks and learn continuously. For Ikkjin, AI technology drives growth and prosperity for global businesses to better compete in the Internet economy.

Under his leadership, Moloco has earned recognition as a Deloitte Fast 500 company, Google Cloud Customer of the Year, one of the Financial Times Fastest Growing Companies, and one of Business Insider’s Top 16 Hottest Ad Tech Companies. He was recently named by Goldman Sachs as one of the Most Exceptional Entrepreneurs at their Builders and Innovators Summit.

Ikkjin is a graduate of Seoul National University, holds a Master’s Degree from the University of Pennsylvania, and studied Computer Science as a graduate student at the University of California, San Diego.
